Description: Blue Sky is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the drama of real life into memoir and documentary art to foster appreciation for our unique and shared experience. The First Person Festival of Memoir and Documentary Arts is produced by Blue Sky, in collaboration with arts and community organizations throughout the region. The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival
Description: The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, scheduled this year (2004) for July 18—August 1, is a unique study and performance festival located in the heart of Interior Alaska! We offer master classes and performance opportunities in theatre, Shakespeare, musical theatre, opera theatre, and storytelling. In addition, we also have classes in creative writing, healing arts, dance, instrumental music, ice skating, and visual arts. Over 80 featured guest artists come from around the world to provide our 800+ registrants with instruction and performance preparation in their respective fields. The Festival is truly a magical experience. One of our registrants from Maryland (who has been attending the Festival for over 14 years) once said: "The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival--Nothing Like it Anywhere!"
